Hyundai Presents Service Facilities and Spare Parts to Support the Use of Official Hyundai Electric Vehicles for the 2022 G20 Summit

NUSA DUA, THE IMAGE – PT Hyundai Motors Indonesia (HMID) is one of the automotive companies strengthening support for the G20 Summit event in Nusa Dua Bali.

PT HMID’s support is realized by presenting service facilities and spare parts for the official G20 Summit electric vehicle from Hyundai. HMID provides a Hyundai Service Booth located in the ITDC area, Nusa Dua, as a service facility for checking and repairing the official G20 Summit 2022 electric vehicle.

In addition, the presence of PT HMID is also supported by the availability of spare parts through a 400m2 warehouse located at Bypass Ngurah Rai, Jimbaran, South Kuta.

Through the presence of this facility, Hyundai can continue to oversee and support the smooth running of the 2022 G20 Summit with 393 Hyundai electric vehicles used by delegates consisting of the Genesis Electrified G80 and the Hyundai IONIQ 5.

Makmur, Chief Operating Officer of PT Hyundai Motors Indonesia (HMID), said the presence of this service and spare parts facility is a form of Hyundai’s commitment to the success of the 2022 G20 Summit.

Makmur added, “Obviously the support that Hyundai has provided for the G20 Summit presidency is clear evidence that Hyundai supports the acceleration of the electrification era in Indonesia. Moreover, Hyundai also has a vision to be at the forefront of the electric vehicle ecosystem both in Indonesia and also in Southeast Asia.”

Furthermore, apart from providing a Hyundai Service booth, HMID has also prepared 28 certified technicians, 10 Hyundai Mobile Service, 10 Hyundai Mobile Charging, and 2 towing units that are always on standby 24 hours during the preparation and event of the event.

Hyundai Mobile Service is a mobility service that allows Hyundai professionals to visit and carry out inspections and repairs. Then the Hyundai Mobile Charging Service is a Vehicle-to-Vehicle (V2V) charging solution that utilizes the IONIQ 5 unit equipped with a special converter as a car that can transfer electrical power to the vehicles of the 2022 G20 Summit delegates who run out of battery.

In addition, 28 professional technicians prepared by HMID are EV certified, 8 Technical Experts, including expert technicians who were brought in directly from South Korea to support the smooth running of the G20 Summit series of events.

Along with the presence of the Hyundai Service booth, Hyundai has also prepared a 400m2 warehouse located at ByPass Ngurah Rai specifically for spare parts for Genesis Electrified G80, IONIQ 5 and IONIQ Electric. HMID ensures the availability of heavy to light spare parts with a total of nearly 700 types of spare parts and a total of 4,916 units of spare parts starting from Battery Assy, Battery Module, Suspension, Dynamo, Tires and Wheels, body panels, to light spare parts such as coolant battery and brake fluid.

Heavy spare parts are provided for the unforeseen event such as a major breakdown of an electric vehicle part that requires a quick replacement. Apart from that, light spare parts such as brake fluids, battery fluids, battery coolers are also provided to be able to support the mobility of Hyundai electric car vehicles.

HMID prepares units to all support services to maintain smooth running from preparation to the G20 Summit event as part of Hyundai’s commitment. This is also to support Indonesia to become a leader in the era of electrification in Southeast Asia and also the long-term commitment of the Government of Indonesia based on the Net Zero Emission Roadmap 2021-2060 where Indonesia plans to continue to encourage the development of electric vehicles with a target of stopping sales of conventional motorcycles in 2040 and conventional cars in 2050.
