BADUNG– To mark the 80th Anniversary of Indonesia’s Independence, the Ngurah Rai Immigration Office launched a special weekend service called “Layanan Paspor Merdeka” (Independence Passport Service) on August 23–24, 2025, at Benoa Square, Badung.
The initiative aimed to improve service quality and provide easier access for the public, particularly for those unable to process documents during weekdays. Registration was conducted online through the M-Paspor application, with a quota of 40 applicants per day, or a total of 80 slots across the two-day program.
During the weekend, the Ngurah Rai Immigration Office processed a total of 41 passport applications:

August 23, 2025: 26 applications – including 10 for new 5-year e-passports, 5 for new 10-year e-passports, 3 for 5-year e-passport renewals, and 8 for 10-year e-passport renewals. Five applications were pending due to incomplete documentation.

August 24, 2025: 15 applications – including 8 for new 5-year e-passports, 2 for new 10-year e-passports, 3 for 5-year e-passport renewals, and 2 for 10-year e-passport renewals. Two applications were pending due to missing documents.
Although 80 slots were made available, only 41 applicants completed the process. Applicants with incomplete documents were advised to submit the required paperwork promptly so their passports could be issued without delay.
