FOR Jimmi Saputra, courage has always been the cornerstone of every chapter in his life. After carving out a successful career in the hospitality industry, he decided to take a daring leap — to build something of his own, together with his beloved wife, Natalia Saputra.
From that shared dream and conviction, a name was born — one that would later soar high in Bali’s tourism scene: Pegasus Travel Agent.
At the time, Jimmi was working as Cluster Sales Manager at Hotel Novotel, overseeing markets in Bali, NTB, and Toraja. His extensive experience in building networks within the tourism industry made him realize one thing — the sector was full of untapped opportunities.
Driven by that belief, Jimmi began offering a profit-sharing system to struggling travel agencies. Around four or five agencies expressed interest, but he placed one firm condition — all must operate under the Pegasus name. In the end, only one agreed.
That single partnership became the foundation upon which Pegasus Travel Agent was born.
Seeing her husband’s passion and determination, Natalia encouraged Jimmi to resign from his stable hotel career and focus fully on their business.
“It wasn’t an easy decision,” Jimmi admits. “We knew the risks — especially financial ones. But if we didn’t take the leap, we’d never know how far we could go.”
The year 2004 marked a turning point — the significant move that changed their lives. Two years later, in 2006, Pegasus officially stood tall as a business entirely their own.
Since then, Pegasus has continued to soar — growing into one of Bali’s most trusted and respected travel agencies. Its success stands as a testament to Jimmi and Natalia’s unwavering faith, persistence, and consistency, proving that with courage and love, even the boldest dreams can take flight. **
