GIANYAR — The excitement surrounding Kemala Run 2026 peaked on the final day of race pack collection at Bali United Training Center on Saturday (April 18, 2026), as thousands of participants gathered, creating a vibrant and energetic atmosphere ahead of race day.
Among those drawing attention was dr Tirta, a well-known health educator and influencer, whose presence became a highlight as he interacted with fellow runners in his signature engaging style.
According to Bali Police, a total of 11,000 participants have registered for this year’s event, competing across three categories: 21K (half marathon), 10K, and 5K. The figure reflects the growing popularity of running events in Indonesia and positions Kemala Run as one of the country’s largest races.
Participants expressed enthusiasm not only for the event itself but also for the scenic venue at Pantai Purnama, which offers a picturesque coastal backdrop.
“The vibe is amazing, especially with the beach setting. It’s a unique experience,” said one runner.
Despite the large turnout, the race pack collection process ran smoothly, supported by well-organized logistics. Many participants also took the opportunity to capture photos against the iconic seaside scenery of Gianyar.
The event area was further enlivened by interactive booths and gatherings of running communities from across Indonesia and abroad, fostering a sense of camaraderie among participants.
Organizers noted that the final day of race pack collection is typically the busiest, but also the most vibrant.
“We’re seeing incredible enthusiasm from participants. The positive energy is strong, and everyone is ready for the start line tomorrow,” a committee member said.
With preparations running successfully, Kemala Run 2026 is expected to become one of Bali’s most iconic sporting events this year. Authorities have also reminded participants to maintain their physical condition ahead of the race.
