BALI — Bali is set to once again host an international-scale wellness and beauty industry event with the upcoming Second Bali Wellness and Beauty Expo (BWB Expo) 2026, scheduled to take place from 4–6 June 2026 at the Bali Beach Convention Center, located within the Sanur Bali Special Economic Zone (KEK The Sanur Bali).

The event is expected to attract approximately 150 exhibitors and 5,000 professional visitors over three days, nearly doubling the scale of its inaugural edition in 2025. The announcement was made by Dr. Diah Permana, Managing Director of BWB Expo, during a press conference in Denpasar on Monday (February 2).

“At the first BWB Expo in 2025, we welcomed more than 3,000 professional visitors, featuring 80 exhibition booths and 107 wellness and beauty brands from Indonesia and abroad. In 2026, we are significantly expanding the scale in response to strong market demand,” said Dr. Diah, a tourism doctorate graduate of Udayana University.

Exhibitors and buyers are expected to come from various regions across Indonesia, including Bali, Jakarta, Central Java, East Java, and North Sulawesi, as well as from international markets such as South Korea, Japan, and China. Officials from Indonesia’s Ministry of Tourism and other related ministries are also scheduled to attend the event.

Carrying the theme “Thrive in Bali: Where Wellness Inspires the World,” BWB Expo 2026 is positioned as a strategic platform that brings together the global ecosystem of health, wellness, and beauty industries. The expo aims to expand market access, encourage cross-sector partnerships, and strengthen the competitiveness of Indonesia’s wellness and beauty sector in the Asia-Pacific region.

The event is held against the backdrop of rapid global growth in the wellness economy. According to the Global Wellness Institute (GWI), the global wellness economy is currently valued at approximately USD 6.8 trillion and is projected to reach nearly USD 9 trillion by 2029, with an average annual growth rate of 7.6 percent. Indonesia ranks as the largest wellness economy contributor in Southeast Asia, with an estimated value of USD 55.8 billion, and is among the top seven markets in the Asia-Pacific region.

Dr. Diah explained that BWB Expo 2026 is curated as a professional ecosystem involving national and international brand owners, manufacturers, distributors, practitioners, investors, government institutions, and universities. The expo is designed to foster sustainable collaboration and strengthen the industry’s value chain.

“BWB Expo is not merely a trade exhibition. It is a collaborative platform to capture the growing opportunities in the wellness economy while reinforcing Bali’s position as a global wellness destination,” she said.

The event has received endorsement from Indonesia’s Ministry of Tourism, in line with the country’s commitment to sustainable tourism development as outlined in Tourism Law No. 18 of 2025. BWB Expo 2026 has also been introduced internationally at major global forums, including the ASEAN Travel Forum, Therapy World Tokyo, and World Travel Market London, as part of its international promotion strategy.

Beyond the exhibition, BWB Expo 2026 will feature integrated Business-to-Business (B2B) programs such as business matching sessions, industry discussions, panel forums, and workshops led by national and international experts. The event will also incorporate Business-to-Consumer (B2C) activities, enabling brands to engage directly with end users through experiential marketing, product demonstrations, and wellness-focused lifestyle programs.

Sustainability remains a core principle of BWB Expo 2026, reflecting the growing global emphasis on responsible and environmentally conscious business practices. Through consistent and strategic implementation, the organizers expect BWB Expo 2026 to further strengthen Bali’s role as an international hub for the wellness and beauty industry, while supporting inclusive and sustainable economic growth in Indonesia.***
