DENPASAR  — Bali Governor Wayan Koster attended the launch of the Cakrawasi Website, Cakrawasi Command Center, and the Mandala Krisna Gallery of the Intelligence and Security Directorate (Ditintelkam) at the Presisi Building of the Bali Regional Police Headquarters in Denpasar on Friday (March 13).

Bali Police Chief Inspector General Daniel Adityajaya stated in his remarks that Bali, known globally as a premier tourism destination, attracts visitors not only for leisure but also as an investment hub for both domestic and international investors. This has made Bali one of the most favored regions with promising economic prospects.

However, he noted that the increasing mobility and number of foreign nationals in Bali, while beneficial, also brings potential risks related to security vulnerabilities and legal violations involving foreigners, whether as victims or perpetrators.

To address these challenges, the Bali Police developed the Cakrawasi Website, an integrated, adaptive, and technology-based monitoring system for foreign nationals.

Through this system, the Bali Police can map potential security risks and detect legal violations involving foreign nationals. The Cakrawasi Website serves as a digital platform designed to facilitate the monitoring and data collection of the presence and activities of foreign nationals in Bali in a fast, accurate, and secure manner.

“With this system, the risks of illegal activities, misuse of residence permits, and other legal violations can be minimized and mitigated promptly,” he said.

The Bali Police have also conducted socialization and system improvements to enhance the performance of the Cakrawasi Website in maintaining order and ensuring that foreign nationals comply with applicable regulations.

“To support the optimal monitoring of foreign nationals in Bali, the operationalization of the Cakrawasi Website is also equipped with a command center that functions as a control hub for monitoring, processing, and analyzing foreign national data in real time,” the Bali Police Chief added.

Inspector General Daniel Adityajaya expressed hope that the Cakrawasi Website will serve as a sharp monitoring tool, a responsive system, and a bridge of synergy among stakeholders in maintaining Bali as a safe, orderly, and dignified destination.

Meanwhile, Second Police Inspector I Ketut Yudi Mahendra Putra from the Intelligence and Security Directorate of the Bali Police explained that in its implementation, the Bali Police have partnered with the Bali chapter of the Indonesian Hotel and Restaurant Association (PHRI) to promote the use of the Cakrawasi system among accommodation providers.

This collaboration is expected to ensure that all foreign tourists are properly recorded while strengthening oversight of foreign nationals’ activities across the island.

Through this system, the Bali Police aim to create a tourism environment in Bali that is safe, orderly, and high-quality, with more transparent monitoring of foreign nationals and reduced potential security disturbances amid the high influx of international visitors.

The event also included a communal iftar (breaking of the fast), serving as a moment to strengthen camaraderie and solidarity during the holy month of Ramadan.***
