ITDC Accelerates Peninsula Island Rejuvenation at The Nusa Dua, Progress Reaches 14.42%

NUSA DUA— The transformation of one of Bali’s premier tourism destinations continues to gain momentum. InJourney Tourism Development Corporation (ITDC) is accelerating the rejuvenation of Peninsula Island at The Nusa Dua, with overall progress reaching 14.42 percent as of Week 16 (April 12–18, 2026).

Several key work packages have recorded significant progress. The upgrading of the main access road from Gate AC to Peninsula Island has reached 30.48 percent completion, while improvements to the Water Blow access and Peninsula Island area have advanced to 74.91 percent. Meanwhile, the installation of wastewater systems, infiltration facilities, and the Ground Water Tank (GWT) stands at 12.63 percent.

General Manager of The Nusa Dua, I Made Agus Dwiatmika, stated that the project is part of ITDC’s broader strategy to maintain The Nusa Dua’s competitiveness as a sustainable, world-class tourism destination.

“The rejuvenation of Peninsula Island is not only about enhancing the area’s aesthetics, but also about ensuring that infrastructure and public facilities are better equipped to support international events and high-quality tourism,” he said.

The ongoing works focus on improving accessibility, landscape quality, and supporting facilities to create a more comfortable, safe, and premium public space for visitors and industry stakeholders.

Key developments include the enhancement of the Water Blow area, now equipped with a dedicated wedding venue, the construction of a new stage area, installation of andesite stone for pedestrian pathways, and upgrades to access roads leading to Peninsula Island.

In line with sustainability goals, ITDC is also developing rainwater infiltration systems in The Bay area, along with supporting facilities such as public restrooms and bale massage spaces for local community groups.

All construction activities are carried out with strict adherence to safety standards and quality control, supported by strengthened supervision and efficient material procurement.

ITDC remains optimistic that the rejuvenation program will be completed in phases as scheduled, delivering a revitalized Peninsula Island that is more integrated, modern, and globally competitive.

This transformation is expected to further solidify The Nusa Dua’s position as a world-class tourism destination that prioritizes quality, sustainability, and exceptional visitor experiences.
