BALI, THEIMAGE.ID – Commemorating World Tourism Day (WTD) 2024, DPD ASITA Bali in the ASITA Care program, donated 1000 tree seedlings to be planted in the Mount Sanghyang area. The donated seedlings were planted in stages and on Saturday, September 21, the initial planting of 40 seedlings was carried out.
It is hoped that the tree planting movement in the upstream area will be a small step for ASITA and its members in helping the availability of groundwater. Complementing the existence of mangrove forests in the downstream which have developed into tourist attractions.
This activity will be a product that can be sold by members to tourists, especially special interest tourists. This was explained by the Head of the ASITA Care Program, I Ketut Sediya Yasa, when opening the planting movement in Munduk Village, Buleleng.
This activity was attended by the Buleleng Regency Tourism Office and its staff, the Buleleng Regency Environment and Sanitation Office (LHK) and its staff, the Head of Munduk Village represented by the Head of Tamblingan Hamlet, and the Head of POKDARWIS Munduk.
The ASITA Care planting program movement, according to Md Swadika, Head of Pokdarwis Munduk, is in line with the concept of the Munduk Tourism Village which has been designated as a green tourism village. Traditionally, he explained further, the people of Munduk Village and its surroundings have a tradition of preserving nature, glorifying water.
The ASITA Care planting movement with sengon, cemara rentes and pine seedlings for the Head of the Environmental Management Division of the Buleleng KLHK Made Adiana, is in line with the sustainable tourism program. This movement supports efforts to preserve nature, save biodiversity to deal with climate change.
Eco-Business Lunch Gathering
The ASITA Care planting action, Saturday, September 21 in Munduk ended with an Aco-Business Lunch Gathering at the Munduk Heaven Luxury Villas. This B2B event was attended by 20 tourism industries in Munduk and its surroundings as sellers and 40 buyers from ASITA Bali members.

For Pokdarwis Munduk, this is the first time they have participated in a B2B event. “We need to participate in more events like this. In addition to marketing products, existing tourist attractions, and developing new packages according to market desires that also support the green tourism concept,” explained Made Sawika.***
