From Bali, National Police Chief Monitors Security and Lebaran Tourism Services Nationwide

BADUNG — Indonesian National Police Chief Listyo Sigit Prabowo monitored the national security situation and tourism services during the Eid al-Fitr 1447 H holiday period from Bali.

The monitoring was conducted via a virtual conference with regional police units (Polda) across Indonesia, centered at the 91 Command Center ITDC on Tuesday (March 24, 2026). The initiative forms part of the National Police’s efforts to ensure personnel readiness, particularly in anticipating the surge of visitors to tourist destinations during the Lebaran holiday.

On the occasion, the Police Chief not only greeted officers nationwide but also delivered directives and evaluations regarding the latest developments in public security and order (Sitkamtibmas) in each region. He also held interactive discussions with regional police chiefs to receive real-time updates from the field.

Several key tourist destinations were monitored directly through the command center screens, including Malioboro, Puncak Bogor, Banten, and Jakarta.

Accompanying the Police Chief were Bali Deputy Governor I Nyoman Giri Prasta, Bali Police Chief Daniel Adityajaya, and Commander of the IX/Udayana Military Region Piek Budyakto, along with senior officials from the National Police Headquarters and other stakeholders.

In addition to monitoring tourist areas, the Police Chief also received a comprehensive briefing from Traffic Corps Head Agus Suryonugroho regarding preparations for the post-holiday return traffic flow (arus balik) in 2026.

Through this initiative, the Indonesian National Police reaffirmed its commitment to maintaining public safety and ensuring optimal services for the community, particularly in the tourism sector, which is expected to see increased activity during the Lebaran holiday period.***
