President Appreciates JP Hub Application for Successful Lake Toba Buying Movement

BALIGE, THE IMAGE – President Joko Widodo appreciated and introduced the Hub Tourism Network (JP Hub) application as an online platform that is expected to be able to succeed and promote the Lake Toba Creative Buying Movement.

“This application will be a door to knowledge, search, to booking destinations from the provincial to village level. Also equipped with tourist attractions. It’s time for Indonesian tourism to grow together with its creative economy,” explained President Joko Widodo, in his online remarks at the Creative Buy Launch event. The President also mentioned that Lake Toba as one of the super priority destination has creative economic potential that should be developed. He gave an example with Ulos cloth and Sidikalang coffee which are widely known by Indonesian people.

A combination of tourism and creative economic results that deserve to be echoed throughout the archipelago to the world and is expected to be able to revive the Indonesian economy through the digital industry,” said President Joko Widodo.

This movement, continued President Joko Widodo, in addition to inviting creative economy players to be oriented with e-commerce platforms, will also be equipped with assistance and education for creative economy players to be able to develop and advance their business on a digital platform.
