SINGAPORE, THEIMAGE.ID – ANTARSUKHA, a cultural dance community originally from Jakarta, Indonesia, recently shows its more substantial commitment by performing various Indonesian traditional dances in Festival Muara, Singapura 1st to 3rd November 2024. The activity reflects its community’s commitment to bringing Indonesian dances to life.
ANTARSUKHA performs Tari Payung Sakato and Tari Lenggang Seayun from West Sumatera, and Tari Enggrang from West Kalimantan, Tari Pakarena from South Sulawesi and also Tari Tor Tor from North Sumatera. This diversity in our performances celebrates the inclusivity and appreciation for different cultures that we hope to instill in our audiences and Esplanade’s visitors Singapore.
“We are beyond thrilled to be part of Festival Muara Singapore. With our mutual cultural roots, we promote each other’s culture and proudly introduce it to the Singapore’s visitors and audiences from different backgrounds. We hope they can feel the feeling of happiness we are sharing through our performances,” said Ms. Emira Oepangat, Chairwoman of ANTARSUKHA.
This year, ANTARSUKHA has completed its performance for around five performances in various art arenas in Jakarta, Indonesia. By participating in the Festival Muara, which reflect its first overseas experience this year, ANTARSUKHA proves the acceptance of Indonesian culture in neighboring countries.
“We share our love for Indonesia as a country and send a powerful message to all generations about the importance of keeping Indonesian culture alive. It’s a responsibility we all aim for and a mission we must all undertake with urgency,” added Ms.Oepangat.
The community, established in October 2023, consists of Indonesian Ladies who unite to share happiness through traditional Indonesian dances as one common goal.***
