BALI – The Ngurah Rai Class I Special Immigration Office has ensured that immigration services remain fully operational and optimal despite the implementation of the Work From Anywhere (WFA) policy following the long holidays of Nyepi and Eid al-Fitr 2026.

This commitment aims to guarantee uninterrupted services for both Indonesian citizens and foreign nationals, particularly amid the high mobility of travelers to and from Bali as a global tourism destination.

Head of Ngurah Rai Immigration Office, Bugie Kurniawan, emphasized that the adjusted working system does not affect service quality or immigration control functions.

“All services continue to run normally, including passport applications, passport renewals, and stay permit extensions. We ensure that the public continues to receive fast and professional services,” he stated.

In addition to office-based services, immigration performance is also focused on maintaining smooth operations at the Immigration Checkpoint (TPI) at I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport. Immigration clearance for international passengers remains available 24/7 to ensure seamless arrival and departure flows.

Bugie further highlighted that monitoring and supervision of foreign nationals remain a top priority. Routine inspections are continuously conducted in key areas such as Kuta, North Kuta, and South Kuta.

“Our security and law enforcement functions remain uncompromised. We continue intensive monitoring to ensure immigration order is well maintained,” he added.

This performance commitment is reinforced by the Head of the Bali Regional Office of the Directorate General of Immigration, Felucia Sengky Ratna, who stressed that the WFA policy has been implemented with thorough risk mitigation measures.

“We have ensured that the WFA system does not hinder rapid response to public needs. Bali, as a global tourism showcase, requires continuous readiness,” Felucia stated.

She explained that service optimization is achieved through a combination of digitalized immigration systems and the physical presence of officers at critical points, particularly at immigration checkpoints.

Furthermore, Felucia noted that both administrative and field supervision remain fully integrated through immigration information systems, enabling real-time and comprehensive monitoring of foreign nationals’ activities.

“Integrity and professionalism remain the key benchmarks, whether officers work from the office or remotely. Our monitoring system continues to operate at full capacity through integrated data and intensive field supervision,” she concluded.

Through these measures, Ngurah Rai Immigration ensures service stability and security, while supporting Bali’s reputation as a world-class tourism destination.***
