Unmas Denpasar Successfully Hosts International Conference ICCHR 2025

DENPASAR – The Faculty of Law, Universitas Mahasaraswati (Unmas) Denpasar, successfully hosted the International Conference on Civilizations and Human Rights (ICCHR) 2025, carrying the theme “Fostering Dialogue, Diversity, and the Future of Human Rights” on Thursday (11/14).

The two-day conference, held on 14–15 November 2025 in both offline and online formats, was organized in collaboration with Contrarius Indonesia.

The event was officially opened by the Rector of Unmas Denpasar, Prof. Dr. I Ketut Sukewati Lanang Putra Perbawa, SH, M.Hum, who emphasized the importance of international academic collaboration in strengthening civilizational studies and advancing global understanding of human rights.
He noted that this conference serves not only as a scientific forum but also as an academic diplomacy platform that brings together diverse legal, social, and humanitarian perspectives.

The first day of the conference, held at Ganesha Hall of Unmas Denpasar, featured distinguished speakers from Malaysia, the Maldives, Uzbekistan, Thailand, and Indonesia.

In his keynote speech, Prof. Dr. Pujiyono, S.H., M.H., Chair of the Indonesian Prosecutorial Commission, highlighted the strategic role of law enforcement institutions in ensuring justice and promoting human rights.

International scholars also contributed critical insights on academic integrity, environmental protection, corporate due diligence, and the modernization of civil law practices.

The ICCHR 2025 momentum was further strengthened through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between Unmas Denpasar, Universiti Malaysia Terengganu, and Shinawatra University—demonstrating their shared commitment to expanding international networks and research collaborations.
