BALI  — Garuda Wisnu Kencana (GWK) Cultural Park once again strengthens its position as Bali’s largest and most iconic New Year celebration venue through the highly anticipated “GWK Bali Countdown 2026.”

This year, GWK puts its grand fireworks show at the center of the festivities, continuing its tradition of delivering large-scale pyrotechnic spectacles eagerly awaited by both locals and international tourists.

For the past five consecutive years, GWK has consistently presented one of Indonesia’s most impressive New Year fireworks celebrations—drawing inspiration from global traditions where fireworks symbolize hope and the dawn of a new beginning.
Set against the majestic backdrop of the Garuda Wisnu Kencana statue, GWK launches more than 10,000 fireworks annually, featuring Musical Fireworks and the largest fireworks shells ever used in Bali. These elements make GWK a constant highlight in national media and a prime destination for year-end holidaymakers.

“Over the last five years, GWK’s fireworks have become a defining symbol of New Year celebrations in Bali. This year, we are once again presenting our biggest show yet, with fireworks launched from three synchronized locations to deliver a wider and more immersive visual experience,” said Ch. Rossie Andriani, Operational Director of GWK Cultural Park.
“With GWK Bali Countdown 2026, we aim to create a celebration that is not only iconic and spectacular but also meaningful—with initiatives supporting MSMEs, inclusion for disability communities, and even on-site counseling services to promote mental well-being. We want every guest to welcome 2026 with joy, hope, and unforgettable moments.”

Three Firework Zones for a Panoramic Celebration

This year’s celebration will feature synchronized fireworks from three main areas across GWK, creating a panoramic sea of light and reinforcing GWK’s status as Bali’s New Year epicenter. The night will also be enlivened by performances from top Indonesian musicians, including Whisnu Santika & MC Drwe, Maliq & D’Essentials, Lomba Sihir, Lolot, Navicula, with Duo Giga as event MCs.
