TABANAN — Nuanu Creative City unveils a new frontier in experiential dining with the launch of Southeast Asia’s first VR Michelin Dining Experience. Presented in collaboration with EPIC NOW and hosted exclusively at Luna Beach Club, the experience offers a fresh approach to fine dining—merging culinary artistry, virtual reality technology, and immersive storytelling into a single multisensory journey.
Led by Michelin-recognized Japanese chef Kazushige Suzuki, the experience features a Japanese–Balinese fusion menu crafted to align seamlessly with eight distinct virtual reality worlds. Through VR, guests are guided across a flowing visual narrative, where each environment is carefully synchronized with the flavors, aromas, and textures of the dishes served, transforming dining into a fully embodied experience.
As part of Nuanu Creative City’s vision as a hub for cross-disciplinary exploration, the experimental dining experience takes place at Elysium, a glass-and-bamboo architectural venue within Luna Beach Club overlooking the open ocean. The thoughtfully designed space enhances the immersive nature of the experience, creating an intimate and curated setting for guests.
Each session is limited to just 20 guests, allowing for a highly personal and focused experience with meticulous attention to detail—from menu composition and presentation to pacing and atmosphere. The VR Michelin Dining Experience is held every Friday and Saturday evening at Luna Beach Club, Nuanu Creative City.
“Nuanu was created as a space where different disciplines can meet without losing their individual identities,” said Lev Kroll, CEO of Nuanu Creative City. “Our collaboration with EPIC NOW reflects how we see culture as a collaborative process—one that respects the work, the creators, and the audience.”
Globally, immersive dining concepts have been gaining traction in cities such as New York and Tokyo. Rather than replacing the essence of dining, VR technology is used to deepen sensory engagement and enrich the way a meal is experienced. The introduction of this concept in Bali marks a significant milestone in the evolution of the region’s gastronomic landscape.
Guests can choose from four experience tiers, ranging from the Discovery Experience to a VIP Experience that includes curated beverage pairings and exclusive menu elements. Private bookings for groups are also available, making the experience suitable for celebrations and special occasions.
“This experience is built on attention,” shared the EPIC NOW team. “Visuals, sound, and pacing are designed to support the dishes—not distract from the essence of dining itself.”
With limited capacity and a carefully crafted format, the VR Michelin Dining Experience positions Nuanu Creative City at the forefront of experimental gastronomy in Southeast Asia, reinforcing its role as a destination for new experiences at the intersection of art, culture, and technology.***
